In March, IWCA Korea members Choi Hee Jeong and Yu Mihyoun proudly represented us as international judges at Coffee Santhe 2025, hosted by IWCA India in Bangalore!

They joined coffee professionals from around the world to judge the Women Stars Brewing Championship and the Robusta Brewer Skills Championship, visited farms in the Coorg region, and connected with passionate leaders in coffee.

Carolina Padilla, President of the
Salvadoran Coffee Institute, will be a guest speaker at the IWCA International Summit.

Ms. Carolina Padilla is a lawyer by profession and a coffee grower by heritage and passion. She is a third-generation coffee producer, involved in coffee growing from an early age. This allowed her to develop a strong bond and love for coffee growing and our roots. Her love, which led her to work in the different parts of the coffee industry for 20 years, has strengthened her commitment and love for "Café de El Salvador".

Her experience also includes her involvement in Coffee Exportation and Marketing; She was the Country Coordinator for Coffee Quality Programs such as ACE "Cup of Excellence" (COE), the Coffee Quality Institute "Q Auction" program and Australia-based Coffee Sourcing "Project Origin"

Day 6

There were many things to celebrate on the last day of the origin trip. First, IWCA Korea and IWCA Colombia signed an MOU on the big stage at Expo Ejecafe 2023. We are so excited about this partnership and hope for many collaborative projects in the future. The MOU signing ceremony was followed by the highlight of the day, the FAPA Auction. The top 15 winners of the FAPA (Foosung Artisan Producer Award) had their coffee be part of an on-site auction featuring buyers from all over the world. The day ended with an awards ceremony to thank everyone who was involved during the week's events: the Colombian staff and organizers who worked tirelessly for the past few weeks to make this event a reality; the judges and buyers who flew in from Korea, USA, and Chile; the 84 producer families who took part in the competition, and the Head Judge of FAPA, @ez_yon.

대회 마지막날은 FAPA 옥션이 이어졌습니다. FAPA (Foosung Artisan Producer Award)의 TOP 15 수상자는 전 세계 바이어가 참여하는 옥션 현장에 커피를 올렸습니다. 이날은 이번 주 행사에 참여한 모든 사람에게 감사를 표하는 시상식으로 마무리되었습니다. 이 행사를 현실로 만들기 위해 지난 몇 주 동안 쉬지 않고 일한 콜롬비아 직원과 조직자; 한국, 미국, 칠레에서 비행기를 타고 온 심사위원과 바이어; 대회에 참가한 84명의 프로듀서 가족들과 FAPA 수석 심사위원 @ez_yon 수고 많으셨고 감사합니다.

On Day 2 of the origin trip, we visited a local milling station. We learned about the milling process from the station's experts and saw how the station operates.
